Experience an Exquisite Concert with Soprano Midori Marsh

Join us for a captivating Thursday afternoon performance as Music in the Afternoon proudly presents Soprano Midori Marsh in a concert titled SISTER, SISTER. This unique program explores themes of sisterhood, featuring works by Malibran and Viardot, as well as Nadia and Lili Boulanger.

About Midori Marsh

Soprano Midori Marsh, the winner of the WMCT’s 2024 Career Development Award, is making waves in the opera world. Named a Top 30 Artist under 30 by CBC Radio, she is celebrated for her “polished and poised” performances and “truly gorgeous, expressive sound” (OperaRamblings).

Her impressive accolades include:

  • 3rd Prize – Jensen Foundation Vocal Competition
  • 1st Prize & Audience Choice Award – Mildred Miller International Voice Competition

Marsh holds a Master of Music in Opera Performance from the University of Toronto, along with an Opera Diploma and Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with Honors from Wilfrid Laurier University.

About Frances Armstrong

Pianist Frances Armstrong began her musical journey in Vancouver, BC, and has since become a sought-after collaborative artist. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in solo piano performance from the University of Victoria and a Master’s in collaborative piano performance from the University of Toronto. In 2018, she was named the WMCT Fellow at the Toronto Summer Music Academy.
