WMCT Artistic Mandate

Through its annual concert series the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto fosters world-class chamber music in the city. It seeks to present well-established international and Canadian performers and ensembles, as well as those on the threshold of international recognition. It has a special interest in exceptional young Canadian talent and the commissioning of new work by Canadian composers.

In presenting chamber music concerts, the WMCT wishes to provide a musically rewarding experience for its audience and enhance their musical knowledge.

An integral part of the WMCT programming is its presentation of the winner of the WMCT’s Career Development Award. It actively cultivates its connection with the Banff International String Quartet Competition and the Honens International Piano Competition by featuring their winners.
