Sonia Chan Wins Women’s Musical Club of Toronto

Sonia Chan, a 23-year old pianist from Toronto, Ontario, was the winner of the Women’s Musical Club Career Development Award for 2003. This award of $15,000 was a project of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto, in partnership with CBC Radio Music and La Chaîne culturelle de Radio-Canada, and was funded by the supporters of the Women’s Musical Club of Toronto Foundation.

Born in Toronto in 1980, Sonia Chan has been featured as soloist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Aspen Sinfonia, the Canadian Chamber Academy, the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony Orchestra, the Brantford Symphony Orchestra, and the Santa Rosa Symphony Orchestra in California.
