The
Women's Musical Club of Toronto supports exceptional young Canadian
musicians through awards, scholarships, and performance opportunities.
Annual scholarships at the Faculty of Music (University of Toronto)
and The Royal Conservatory of Music, and the WMCT's triennial
Career Development Award have helped launch the careers of critically
acclaimed artists such as Teresa Stratas (1958, voice), Robert
Aitken (1961, flute), Mary Lou Fallis (1969, voice), Jane Coop
(1970, piano), and Russell Braun (1989, voice).
